Symptom

Solution

Light turns on after a delay
  • Dimmer: Configure Min On setting.

  • Keypad: Check Zigbee network.

Light does not ramp on smoothly
  • Dimmer: Configure Min On setting or adjust dimming curve (go here for details on dimming curves).

Light does not turn off completely
  • No Neutral: Use LED Bypass or increase load wattage.

Light flickers
  • Dimmer: Confirm Dimming Mode is set to the phase dimming selection compatible with the load.

  • Dimmer: Configure Min On setting.

  • Dimmer: Connect neutral wire.

  • Dimmer: For low wattage LED bulbs, try the Forward Phase - High Power Factor LED mode

Button backlighting in a multi-gang installation is not synchronized
  • Configure Ambient Light Source and Followers

Light is dim at 100%
  • Add a neutral wire connection to the dimmer. Maximum brightness levels are limited in no-neutral configurations in dimming devices.

Keypad Dimmer Switch (C4-L-KDS) does not dim the load
  • Set the Keypad Dimmer Switch to Dimming Mode. By default the device is set to Switch mode.

Status LEDs flashing red
Unable to locate the air gap switch
  • The air gap switch is located behind the faceplate, top left of dimmer, next to QR code.

Dimmer exhibits short circuit fault when set to Switch mode
  • Set dimmer to Switch Mode - High Wattage LED.

Cannot Identify Lux device on Zigbee network
  • Confirm that you have enabled a Zigbee 3.0 mesh in your project.

  • Identify Lux devices starting with the devices closest to the Zigbee Mesh controller working outwards.
